A specialty of The Learning Associates of Montreal is consultations to remote and rural schools and to aboriginal communities.

Assessments, consultations and follow-ups are routinely conducted by our staff.

Our expertise for helping children learn is shared with teachers and parents in isolated areas, as far north as Salluit.

 

VISUAL ARTS CENTRE/THE LEARNING ASSOCIATES OF MONTREAL JOINT PROJECT

Thanks to the generosity of the EJLB Foundation, the Visual Arts Centre and The Learning Associates of Montreal are able to offer high school and CEGEP students with learning disabilities the opportunity to participate in a ceramics course.

This program helps to improve the students’ visual-spatial, creative and social skills.

About a dozen students gather every Friday in late afternoon for 2.5 hours.

The program is directed by Eva Lapka, the ceramics instructor at the Visual Arts Centre assisted by Paula Cook, a member of the LAM remedial staff.
