15%
of all children have a learning disability.
They are bright but need to learn through different pathways.
This invisible disability affects all sectors of society.
For those who cannot afford to pay for special services, their future
hangs in the balance.
The
Learning Associates of Montreal receives no government funding or
subsidies.
It will not however turn anyone away based on inability to pay the
full cost of the required service.
It provides sliding scale bursaries based on household income to
families and individuals.
As a non-profit centre we are grateful for the individuals who over
the years have helped make this possible.
With their financial assistance we have been able to provide essential
remedial tutoring and assessments to children, adolescents and adults
who would otherwise not be able to afford our services.
It has also enabled us to purchase much needed tools such as books,
computers and other materials.
