Homework Program

As of January 11, 2010, we will be offering a homework supervision program. Students will benefit from a small group environment as well as have access to academic resources. Our homework mentors will guide the students in using available tools, organizing their time and prioritizing their tasks. This program will be available in both English and French. Joint Project Between The Visual Arts Centre and The Learning Associates of Montreal

Through a grant made available by Mrs. Edith Low-Beer, The Learning Associates of Montreal and The Visual Arts Centre have just completed their 14th school year of holding a ceramics workshop for at-risk teens. Under the art direction of Eva Lapka, with the help of Paula Cook as the therapist/liaison person, the program provides a therapeutic environment for students who are continually confronted with social and academic difficulties. This program provides them with a safe place to feel successful and be creative. The students are selected from Vanguard school and internal referrals from the Learning Associates of Montreal staff.
